Great Power

Eph 1:19-20
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know...His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty Strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead.

As I read about Your miracle working power this morning, Lord, I seem to focus in on the dreams I have and how You can use this power of Your's to accomplish these dreams of mine. The trouble is that I’m not sure that these dreams of mine are also Your dreams. These may be the very things that you want to die within me so that you can work through me more effectively to live out Your dreams for me. I struggle with this and need Your Spirit to help me and guide me to let go of my ambitions so that I can have open arms to embrace Your ambitions. Thank you for Your miracle working power that can do this in me. I know this cannot be accomplished with my power.

I surrender my heart and my ambitions to You today. Help me to embrace You fully and to live out Your life through me. Please use Your miracle working power to change the parts of me that don’t reflect Your heart. Transform me to become like You. That truly is a miracle! As You do this, I can trust You more and more to do as You please in the circumstances of my life. I want to submit my life to You and then let You deal with the rest, knowing that You love me immensely and that You are Good and Kind. Thank You for Your miracle working power.
